What is PE? Premature Ejaculation or PE is one of the very common and embarrassing sexual problems in men. It refers to condition where man ejaculates too soon before his partner can achieve orgasm during sexual intercourse. It is also known as rapid ejaculation or early ejaculation. Most men experience premature ejaculation at least once in their lives. PE can occur to any age group and under any situation. Premature Ejaculation (PE) can greatly affect a man and his partner’s sexual satisfaction, ability to maintain relationship and of course man's self confidence. Approximately 27-34 percent of men between all age groups get affected by PE. Most of the men ejaculate sooner then they expect. Usage, Directions, Indication and Instructions Dapoxetine has currently received marketing authorisation in many European countries for the on-demand treatment of premature ejaculation (PE) in men 18–64 years of age. Dapoxetine is required to be taken 30 mins to 2 hours prior to sexual activity. Studies show that treatment with dapoxetine increased intravaginal ejaculation time to about three minutes from one minute. Adverse Reactions, Precautions and Warning Dapoxetine treatment is not without major side effects, however. These included:
- Nausea in 8.7 percent of men getting low-dose (60mg) and 20.1 percent of men getting high-dose dapoxetine.
- Headache in 5.9 percent of men getting low-dose and 6.8 percent of men getting high-dose dapoxetine.
- Diarrhoea in 6.8 percent of men getting high-dose dapoxetine.
- Dizziness in 6.2 percent of men getting high-dose dapoxetine. Dosage and Administration Dapoxetine is a drug belonging to SSRI drugs having a short half-life. That means that whilst it is absorbed quickly, the patients' plasma levels are normal again after 1-2 hours.
Take one 60mg tablet with or without food with a full glass of water at any point in time from 30 minutes to 2 hours before sexual activity. Take only when needed, just before sexual activity. Important Do not take this more than once a day or take multiple tablets. Allow 24 hours to pass between doses.
